Abstract

Art is the most basic and creative language for the world. It was more of a communication medium during early ages but now it is not just a mode of communication, it also works as a helping tool which includes spreading awareness regarding social, economic and environmental issues. It has inspired our society to work towards the betterment of the mankind but it is not as simple as said. The creation of SDGs i.e. Sustainable development goals by the members of United Nations in 2015 was done for the betterment of society, it also aims to eliminate or reduce the basic yet bigger problems of the developing and developed countries like poverty, unemployment, environmental issues etc. In this paper we will discuss about the SDGs and how can digital technology and art together support these goals. To contribute to a safer and healthy future there is a need to work together towards the Sustainable development goals. The digital media and technology has been playing an important role for creating awareness about the environmental health and issues. The governments of various nations have vowed to improve the world by 2030 through SDGs. This paper explores various aspects of digital media and technology in arts and how it can be helpful in achieving the SDGs.
