Abstract

The outbreak of fatal Covid 19 has shaken the world and it affected almost all the fields of human life. Education field is no exception in it. The schools have been closed for indefinite time and the mode of teaching has been shifted to online from classroom teaching. The central government and all state governments are making efforts to provide education to each child. This endeavour has emerged as online teaching. Several debates are being held on how successful is online teaching and which of the two fulfils the needs of the students. Still no conclusion has been carried out as offline and online teaching have their own merits and demerits.
The teachers in Gujarat state have also been trying their best to reach to every student and keep them up to date with education. They are updating themselves time to time as per situation demands. Many teachers are capable enough to utilize technology in the best way to make their teaching effective and interesting, while some teachers are finding difficulties in tackling the newer mode of teaching. They might feel themselves stuck into technological issues for teaching online. Teaching online has become a challenge for teachers in Gujarat and all over the world. Teachers need to learn all necessary technology and use gadgets. They have come to the stage where their classroom experience of long period falls short. The society is looking at them expectedly as it wants them to make a miracle happen to save the loss of the students in this pandemic time. It checks out the teachers if they are willing and able to take on this situation.
