Mental health is a critical issue that impacts individuals, families, and societies globally. In India, the burden of mental health disorders is real, affecting millions of people. Despite existing policies and programs, significant gaps in awareness, accessibility, and implementation keep on. This paper explores the current mental health scenario in India, compares practices in Switzerland and the USA, and offers actionable recommendations adapted to the Indian context. The aim is to align these efforts with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), ensuring good health and well-being for all by 2047.
