Adopted in 2015, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations offer a roadmap for creating a wealthier, egalitarian, and ecologically sustainable world by 2030. But achieving these global objectives comes with its own set of chances and challenges, particularly given India's ambitions to become a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) by 2047. With an emphasis on how closing gaps in infrastructure, education, health, and technology may help India achieve its developmental goals, this paper examines the connections between the SDGs and India's long-term vision for a sustainable and inclusive future. It looks at India's present progress, points out important gaps that prevent the SDGs from being achieved, and offers creative approaches and ways to deal with these issues. This study seeks to provide a framework for incorporating SDGs into India's development model, which will promote a more resilient economy and fair society by utilizing cross-sector collaboration and grassroots advocacy for sustainable practices. It also emphasizes how crucial it is to coordinate national and international efforts in order to achieve a shared objective and guarantee that no one is left behind. In the end, the study offers practical suggestions for how academics, business executives, and policymakers can help achieve the SDGs, with an emphasis on realizing the Viksit Bharat vision by 2047.
